Delete Your Account and Data

Request deletion

Enter the email address on your account. We will email you to confirm before anything is deleted.

What gets deleted

When we action your request, we remove:

• Your account and sign-in identities — including any linked Apple, Google, Microsoft, or email logins.
• Your profile — name, email address, and account settings.
• Your photos and videos — every stamped image and video stored in your account, deleted from cloud storage.
• Your projects and their contents — project records, captions, notes, voice memos, custom stamp fields, and capture sessions.
• Teams and collaboration data — team memberships, collaborator entries, and any pending invitations you created.
• Notifications and device data — push notification tokens and notification history.
• Activity and usage records — the events tied to your account.
• Email records — your address is removed from our mailing records so you stop receiving mail from us.

Deletion means deletion. We do not deactivate, freeze, or pause the account instead.

What is kept, and for how long

We would rather be precise about this than imply your data evaporates instantly:

• Encrypted backups — up to 7 days. Our database is backed up daily on a rolling seven-day window. Your records are removed from live systems immediately, and age out of backups as that rotation completes. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.
• Shared project content. If you uploaded photos into a project owned by someone else, those photos belong to that project and stay with its owner. We delete the content in projects you own.
• Limited legal and financial records. Where law requires it — tax, accounting, or fraud prevention — we may keep minimal transaction records. These do not include your photos or project content.
• Subscription records held by Apple or Google. Purchases are processed by the app stores. Deleting your Timestamp It account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings, or you may continue to be billed.

How long it takes

• We acknowledge your request within five business days.
• Once we have confirmed the request came from you, we complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
• We email you when it is done.

Before you delete

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If your photos are records you may need later — job documentation, inspection evidence, before-and-after proof — export them first. You can export a project to PDF or spreadsheet from within the app.

If you only want to stop receiving email from us, you do not need to delete your account. Reply "unsubscribe" to any message, or email us and we will remove you.
